24 | ## Recollections by Teena |
||||||
| 25 | ||||||||
| 26 | Fran's niece [Teena](/people/christine-frances-whillas-b1947) recalled that Fran helped returned servicemen through a wartime support group, remembered in the transcript as the “Friendship Club.” Teena also said Fran had worked at “the CSIRO” as a ledger keeper.[^1] These recollections are in [Teena's interview](/documents/interview-teena-mclean-2026); the organization name and employment sequence need checking against Fran's papers. |
|||||||
| 27 | ||||||||
| 28 | [^1]: Existing records document Fran at COR from 1934 to 1953 as a ledger supervisor. Teena's CSIRO recollection may describe another period or may be mistaken; the interview also questions the support group's name. See [open questions](/open-questions#frans-work-and-wartime-service). |
