Charlotte Charlotte "Lotte" Sloggett was the eldest of eight girls born at Millicent in South Australia's south-east. She married [Charles Johnston Whillas](/people/charles-johnston-whillas-b1872) in North Adelaide in 1906 (see [the marriage](/events/marriage-charles-whillas-to-charlotte-sloggett-1906)).

After Charles's death in 1944, Lotte sold the family home at 22 Stanley St, Woodville (3 Jul 1945) and, with her daughter [Fran](/people/frances-louise-whillas-b1915), bought 22 Gulf Pde, Brighton (Feb 1946). She died in Adelaide in 1952.
