Barvas, Isle of Lewis (Scotland)

A village on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland — the ancestral home of the MacLeod and Gunn families.

Connection to the family

• Birthplace of Norman MacLeod (1880) and his brothers Donald (1881) and Neil (1884).
• Birthplace of Catherine Gunn (1873) and her four sisters (Ann, Jessie, Margaret, Mary). Her parents married here in January 1870.
