Events
- 1 Nov 1960 — Greg Stephen Whillas born, Numurkah — the youngest of Dick and Cath's 14 children.
- Aug 1968 — Ian Whillas (JH's son) completes the Junior Observer Course with the Bureau of Meteorology; he stays with the BoM for his working life.
- 28 Sep 1968 — Christine Frances "Teena" Whillas marries John McLean at the Presbyterian Church in Shepparton (see marriage event). Teena later recalled, “We got married ... in Shepparton, the Presbyterian Church.”
- Nov 1968 — Richard (Johnstone) Whillas completes a B.Eng degree at the University of Melbourne.
- Jan 1969 — Richard and Irine move to Sydney; Richard commences work at the Commonwealth Department of Works.
- Mar 1969 — Richard commences a part-time M.Eng.Sci degree at UNSW.
- Aug 1969 — Richard commences work as a structural engineer with Wargon Chapman & Assoc; a major project is Centrepoint Tower.
